
Welcome to the Improving Cause of Death Reporting e-learning course. This training has been developed by the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa, in conjunction with the Burden of Disease Research Unit of the South African Medical Research Council, and in collaboration with the Centre for Community Technologies at Nelson Mandela University.
Reliable mortality data is critical for guiding health policy, planning interventions, and allocating resources effectively. This course empowers health professionals across Africa to improve the accuracy and quality of cause of death reporting through standardized certification and coding practices.
